Precision Finish Carpentry
Accurate mitering and clean transitions create a cohesive room finish.

The finishing detail that completes every flooring project.

A floor installation is not complete until the perimeter is finished. Baseboards and trim are what separate a professional result from an unfinished one.
Every flooring installation leaves an expansion gap around the perimeter of the room — typically a quarter inch or more. This gap is necessary for the flooring to expand and contract with temperature changes, which is especially important in Las Vegas where indoor temperatures can swing significantly between seasons and even between rooms.
Baseboards conceal that gap while adding architectural definition to the room. The right profile and height can make a standard room feel more intentional and polished. In the Las Vegas resale market, clean baseboard and trim work is one of the details that buyers notice — even if they cannot articulate exactly why a room looks finished.
Whether you are completing a flooring project or refreshing a room that needs new trim, baseboard installation adds real value. It protects walls from vacuum and mop damage, creates a clean visual line where the floor meets the wall, and gives the entire space a sense of completion that bare gaps or outdated trim cannot provide.
The Flooring Completion Factor
New flooring without updated baseboards is like a tailored suit with scuffed shoes. If your baseboards are damaged, outdated, or paint-caked, replacing them alongside new flooring is the most cost-effective way to get a room that looks fully finished.
Baseboard and trim come in a range of materials, heights, and profiles. Here is how to choose the right combination for your home.
MDF (medium-density fiberboard) is the most common baseboard material we install. It is affordable, takes paint well, resists warping, and is available in a wide range of profiles from simple flat stock to detailed colonial and craftsman designs. For Las Vegas homes, MDF performs well in climate-controlled interiors and delivers a clean, consistent finish.
Solid wood baseboards — poplar, pine, or oak — are available for homeowners who prefer natural material or plan to stain rather than paint. PVC trim is the right choice for garages, laundry rooms, or any area where moisture exposure is a concern, since it will not swell or rot.
Height matters. Standard baseboard heights range from 3.25 inches to 5.25 inches, with taller profiles creating a more substantial, modern look. Homes with 9-foot or higher ceilings generally benefit from taller baseboards. We also install door casing, window casing, and crown molding to create a consistent trim package throughout the home.

Trim work is detail work. The quality of the joints, alignment, and finish is what separates professional installation from handyman-level work.
Miter joints at outside corners should be tight, gap-free, and aligned. We cut on professional miter saws with fine-tooth blades to achieve clean edges, and we test-fit before fastening. Inside corners are coped — not mitered — because coped joints stay tight as the house settles and the material shifts with seasonal changes.
Alignment along the baseboard run is maintained with consistent reveals (the visible gap between the baseboard and the floor). Walls in Las Vegas homes are rarely perfectly straight, so our installers scribe and adjust each piece to follow the wall contour while maintaining a level, consistent appearance.
We can schedule baseboard and trim installation as a standalone service or bundle it with a flooring project. Bundling is more efficient and ensures the trim is installed after the floor — which is the correct sequence for the best fit and finish. If you are replacing baseboards without new flooring, we work carefully around existing floors to avoid damage.
Standalone vs. Bundled
Scheduling baseboard installation with your flooring project is the most efficient option — it ensures proper sequencing and saves a second trip. We also handle standalone baseboard replacement for homes that just need a trim refresh.
